Since it's inception in 2007, the Outside Adventure Film school has taught the art of filmmaking in some of the most amazing locations on the planet, from Mount Kilimanjaro to Machu Picchu to Everest base camp, the school, led by award winning filmmaker Michael Brown, has produced some of the brightest young talent in the industry today. This year's school, is set in the backcountry of the Colorado Rockies, for six aspiring film students this wilderness will soon be the setting for what they all hope will be the film of a lifetime. The students spend the better part of three days in the Colorado backcountry shooting their films before returning to Boulder, Colorado where they edit their films. A day and half later, they present their films to a live audience at Boulder's Boedecker Theater with one student winning the opportunity for a production contract with Outside Television. Helping them achieve their goal of their first adventure film is a trio of accomplished and renowned instructors including award winning film producer/director and 5-time Everest summiter, Michael Brown, Producer, Director, author and longtime National Geographic television executive, Carrie Regan, and renowned big mountain skier, author and Everest summiter, Chris Davenport.
